Hand Dyed Wool Threads

  • Two Thicknesses!  #8 in 10 yard skeins and #15 in 20 yard skeins.   The headings for each will note the size if only available in one size.  More colors are coming!
  • Both sizes are two ply with the size 8 being almost, but not quite, twice as thick as the size 15.  I like to use the size 15 in place of two strands of embroidery floss or #12 pearl cotton.  I use size 8 when I want a thicker wool thread or where I'd use an 8 pearl cotton or three strands of embroidery floss.
  • Soft and wonderful to work with this thread is made of 100% Australian Merino Virgin Wool of the highest quality.
  • I love it for wool applique but you can also use it for embroidery, Sashiko, crewel work - any hand stitching where you want to add dimension to your stitches.
  • Use a crewel/wool applique needle when stitching with any wool thread.
  • Hand dyed in small batches, each skein is unique.
